FIT & FINISH:
The Mariana is made using a vegetable tanned Japanese horsehide from Japan's famed Shinki Tannery, which ages in a fairly quick manner. (This also depends on how often you wear your leather) The Leather is dyed using a "tea core" style method. With time and wear the leather is built to have its brownish tan core exposed giving Fine Creek Leathers an almost signature patina to them that has made them highly desirable. Depending on the panel they'll use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character. No, this is not a flaw, each jacket is built by hand with care and expertise making each jacket a one-of-a-kind garment.
Its a leather jacket, so honestly there isn't much you need to do here besides wear it. The oils and tanning process will keep your leather supple and conditioned for the first years. Simple care you can wipe your jacket down with a damp towel, but do not saturate the leather if you don't have to. If conditioning is required fine yourself a leather care that is all natural without man made chemicals or best leather care.
